Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using ReelTranscript ("Service"), operated by an individual based in China ("we," "us," or "our") at reeltranscript.com.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

ReelTranscript is an AI-powered transcription tool that converts publicly accessible TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook videos into text. The Service is provided "as is" via our website at reeltranscript.com.

Transcriptions are generated by artificial intelligence and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or error-free.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 You May

  • Use the Service to transcribe publicly accessible social media videos.
  • Use transcriptions for personal, educational, research, accessibility, or commentary purposes.
  • Use Pro plan transcriptions for commercial content creation (subject to the rights you hold in the source video).

3.2 You May NOT

  • Submit URLs to private, paywalled, or restricted videos you do not have permission to access.
  • Use the Service to transcribe content in violation of applicable laws or the rights of third parties.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits (e.g., rotating IPs to bypass the free tier).
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service itself.
  • Use automated scripts or bots outside the batch tools or APIs explicitly provided by the Service.
  • Use transcription outputs to create content that is defamatory, harassing, or otherwise illegal.

4. Your Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the video URLs you submit and for ensuring that:

  1. You have the legal right to access and transcribe the content.
  2. Your use of the transcript does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of the video creator or platform.
  3. The content you transcribe does not violate applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

We are not responsible for the content of videos you submit or transcripts you generate. We do not review or endorse transcription results. We store them only when a signed-in user explicitly saves them to a private Library.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Service

The ReelTranscript software, website design, and brand are owned by the operator and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service itself.

5.2 Transcription Outputs

Transcriptions are AI-generated from content you provide. We do not claim ownership of transcription outputs. However, transcription outputs may constitute derivative works of copyrighted source videos, AI-generated text may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions, and you are responsible for any copyright implications of how you use transcription outputs. We recommend consulting an attorney for commercial uses involving third-party content.

5.3 Third-Party Trademarks

TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platform names are trademarks of their respective owners. ReelTranscript is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Meta, or ByteDance.

6. Free Tier Usage

The free tier provides 3 transcriptions per day per IP address, with a maximum video length of 5 minutes. Free-tier exports are available in .txt format only. We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits at any time by updating these Terms.

7. Pro Subscription

Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Creem as Merchant of Record. Creem handles checkout, payment processing, invoices, and applicable indirect taxes. We receive only the identifiers and status information needed to provide your subscription.

7.1 Plans

We offer monthly and annual subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Plan features and limits are as specified on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.

7.2 Automatic Renewal

Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price at each renewal. Monthly renews every 30 days; Annual renews every 12 months.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@reeltranscript.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then.

7.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

8. Refunds

Please see our separate Refund Policy at reeltranscript.com/refund for full details. In summary: first-time monthly or annual subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if the service has not been substantially used; subscription renewals are generally not refundable.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that transcriptions will be accurate, complete, or error-free; that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; that the Service is compatible with all devices or video formats; or that transcription outputs are original or non-infringing.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator and service providers from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of third-party rights, or content you submit to the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will provide reasonable notice where practical. Upon termination of a paid subscription, your access continues until the end of the current billing period (unless terminated for cause).

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise, disputes shall be submitted to a court with jurisdiction at the operator's place of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (for Pro subscribers) or a notice on our website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
